Ronca (roncola in the Cilento dialect).
In the Permanent Museum of Rural Life in Paestum, among the various bill-hooks on display, I was struck by a two-headed model, with its gorges mirrored and positioned at different heights. There are many possible reasons for this unique shape: having a spare blade, grabbing distant branches or those with wide stems, being able to cut on two sides. I thought that all these intelligent aspects could be the object of a contemporary design: I tried, therefore, to merge the two heads in a single body balancing it in form and proportion while maintaining the original functions.
